Good evening JRMS and CHS Families!
We are very excited to kick off our school year on Tuesday. As a reminder, school starts at 7:25am. Learners should arrive between 7:10-7:20am to ensure they are in class by the 7:25 bell
Please note: No learner will be able to enter the building or playground before 7:10am.
The parent/guardian drop off for all learners (in JRMS and CHS) is through the main parking lot entrance. If you are dropping off your child, you should enter the main parking lot (enter at the white sign and follow the arrows). You will notice that the entrance to the parking lot splits into 2 lanes...please stay right, and enter the drop off area (separated by a granite median). Please drop your learner off at the far end and then proceed to exit the parking lot.
JRMS learners who are dropped off will be directed to the door between the Industrial Arts building and the Pratt, where they will enter JRMS and head to the cafeteria/playground. CHS learners who are dropped off will enter the main doors and remain in the lobby/cafeteria until 7:20am. We will have staff on hand to greet learners and help point them in the right direction!
All learners will report to their mentoring homeroom at 7:20am on Tuesday morning. There, they will receive final schedules and spend some time gearing up for the year ahead.
Please note: the back entrance loop that passes the JRMS playground is for bus traffic only. Please do not enter this area.
I am also attaching our learner/parent handbook. It's important to make sure you are familiar with this document, and as always, reach out with any questions.
As a last item, at this time we are in the moderate zone for Covid-19 mitigation measures. This means we are recommending that all individuals mask while indoors, and we will be requiring at least 3 feet of social distancing while indoors. We will keep families up to date if our mitigation status changes.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Enjoy your last weekend of the summer! We look forward to seeing you Tuesday!
Best wishes,
David Dustin
